Do you believe that scientific theorists always look at the world and its inhabitants as collections of molecules and atoms or is it that some-thing that only occasionally occurs to them, when they are engaged in scientific speculation and research?

3. Compare and contrast how theories with cultural determinism underpinning suggest social workers should respond to the problem of chronic mental illness compared to theories that integrate biological and cultural explanations for human behavior.

General Principles of Exercise Prescription for Apparently Healthy Adults

focus on apparently healthy adults and examine general principles of exercise prescription. This will provide you with a strong basis prior to examining populations with chronic disease and health conditions in your final week.

After studying Chapter 7 of your course text and the required resources, address the following elements:

  • Analyze the purpose and principles of exercise prescription.
  • Compare and contrast the FITT principles with the FITT-VP principles. Why were adjustments made and how will they be beneficial to exercise professionals and clients?
  • Assess factors that must be considered when designing exercise prescriptions to individuals.
  • Select two of these identified factors and explain why they must be considered. Examine potential effects, if such considerations are neglected.
  • Appraise the components of an exercise training session (Box 7.1) and each component’s physiological benefit to the exerciser.

Support your work with your course text and at least one additional scholarly source.

Qualitative Research Critique on Compassion Fatigue in Nursing

The research article to be critiqued is: https://journals.lww.com/journaloftraumanursing/Fu…

Please use the following guide for the research critique. The paper needs to be APA format.

QUALITIATIVE RESEARCH CRITIQUE GUIDE

1. Is the research tradition for the qualitative study identified? If none was identified, can one be inferred? If more than one was identified, is this justifiable or does it suggest “method slurring”?

2. Does the study purpose match the study design? Was the best possible design (or research tradition) used to address the study purpose? Is the research question congruent with a qualitative approach and with the specific research tradition?

3. Is the design appropriate, given the research question? Does the design lend itself to a through, in-depth, intensive examination of the phenomenon of interest?

4. Does the report describe an explicit theoretical or conceptual framework for the study? If not, does the absence of a framework detract from the significance of the research or its conceptual integration?

5. Given the nature of the data, was the data analysis approach appropriate for the research design?

6. Is the category scheme described? If so, does the scheme appear logical and complete? Does there seem to be unnecessary overlap or redundancy in the categories? Were manual methods used to index and organize the data, or was a computer program used?

7. Did the report adequately describe the process by which the actual analysis was preformed? Did the report indicate whose approach to data analysis was used (e.g., Glaserian or Straussian, in grounded theory studies)?

8. What major themes or processes emerged? If excerpts from the data are provided, do the themes appear to capture the meaning of the narratives?

9. What evidence did the report provide that the analysis is accurate and replicable? Were data displayed in a manner that allows you to verify the researcher’s conclusions?

10. Did the analysis yield a meaningful and insightful picture of the phenomenon under study? Did the report give you a clear picture of the social or emotional world of study participants?

11. Which specific techniques (if any) did the researcher use to enhance the trustworthiness and integrity of the inquiry? Where these strategies used judiciously and to good effect? Given the efforts to enhance data quality, what can you conclude about the study’s validity/integrity/rigor/trustworthiness? Does the report adequately address the transferability of the findings?

12. Did the report discuss any study limitations and their possible effects on the credibility of the results or on interpretations of the data? Were results interpreted in light of findings from other studies? Did the researchers discuss the study’s implications for clinical practice or future research?

After getting a virus on my computer years ago, I’ve made sure that all of my devices are protected to prevent that from happening again. That one incident was an eye opener and lesson for me all in one of to be extra careful of websites you visit and links you click.I had got an email from who I thought was my grandmother with a link and I clicked it.Since that incident, I’ve used Norton’s security suite to protect my devices. I also am I parent so to ensure my child wasn’t visiting certain cites, I was able to use Norton’s online feature to block different things to avoid my child possibly clicking something or visiting a bad site that could potentially infect the device.Along with using Norton, I am just really careful about the content I view, websites I visit, and I stay away from suspicious emails or links that are sent to me in email.I get phishing emails all the time and I report it is spam and delete it.

When it comes to surfing the internet, you are at risk for getting viruses and possibly losing your data and device, so it’s imperative to have active security software on your device.I would recommend software that offers safe browsing which will tell you if the website you’re visiting is safe.Norton offers this feature and even if I do a google search, your search results will have a green check mark next to it, if they are safe. To ensure my defenses stay current, I ensure that I keep the security software updated and schedule scans regularly to ensure my device is virus free, healthy and secure. Failing to keep security software up to date will do the opposite of securing your device, it opens the door for vulnerabilities and threats to your system.

It is September 2015. You have just downloaded the Technical Specifications manual for MassHealth Acute Hospital Quality Measures (Version 9.0) released on 8/25/15 in your job as a healthcare data analyst at Massachusetts General Hospital http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/masshealth/acutehosp/ry2016-eohhs-tech-specs-manual-masshealth-quality-measures-9-0.pdf. You note on page 3 that this version contains substantial changes throughout the entire manual. On page 4 you see that, as expected, there are many new data specifications, including the conversion to ICD-10. On page 5 you review standards and guidelines for collecting clinical and administrative data elements that apply to MassHealth hospital quality measures reporting.

Now you download the MassHealth Specific Measures Data Dictionary Appendix A-10, effective with Q1-2016 discharges (01/01/16) http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/masshealth/acutehosp/ry2016-appendix-a-10-masshealth-specific-measures-data-dictionary-9-0.pdf. Page 2 summarizes changes to definitions for existing data elements and introduces new data elements effective with Q1-2016 data. Page 3 explains Mass Health Data Dictionary Format and Terms: the detailed information necessary for defining and formatting the collection of all data elements, as well as the allowable values for each data element that uses the format. Observe that this page cautions that “Adherence to data dictionary definitions provided in this EOHHS manual are necessary to ensure that data element abstraction is accurate and reliable.” On page 4 is the Data Dictionary Table of Contents, listing all the data elements. The page number for each data element is provided. Changes to data elements are identified in italics and underlined. For this assessment, you will focus on the following 3 changes:

Episode of Care-page 23

ICD-10-CM Principal Diagnosis Code-page 35

Reconciled Medication List-page 62

Now you will compare these data elements to the 2015 Data Dictionary http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/docs/masshealth/acutehosp/ry15-appendix-a-9-data-dictionary-masshealth-specific-measures-8-0.pdf

Episode of Care-page 30

ICD-9-CM Principal Diagnosis Code-page 44

Reconciled Medication List-page 80

Create a Table for each of the 3 Data Elements that describes the changes to be made to the Mass General internal Data Dictionary to be in compliance with state and federal information-collecting and reporting guidelines and requirements. The Table will note each Data Elements with the detailed information necessary for defining and formatting the collection of all data elements, as well as the allowable values for each data element that uses the format. In the first column will be the data element as it exists in the 2015 Data Dictionary. In the second column will be the data element as it exists in the 2016 Data Dictionary. In the third column will be the change that must be made to the Mass General Data Dictionary.
