The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate your ability to apply what you have learned about psychological concepts and theories.

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate your ability to apply what you have learned about psychological concepts and theories. It is not a research paper, but be sure to use appropriate citations if you refer to outside sources. The paper must be at least seven full pages, but no more than ten. The grading rubric for this paper is located at the end of the syllabus. In this paper you are required to identify the eight course ideas (i.e., concepts, principles, and/or research findings) that had the greatest impact on your understanding. Specifically, what ideas helped you understand something in yourself, others, or society in a better or different way; assisted you in solving problems in your life; helped you in making decisions in various roles (e.g., as students, parents, workers, friends, citizens, etc.); motivated you to make changes in your life or take action in relation to social issues; or otherwise had a significant impact on your understanding, thinking, motivation, and/or behavior. These eight ideas must come from at least five different chapters of the textbook.
