  • Research the construction industry to learn what the inputs are that are used by such a homebuilder to build homes (the homes are obviously the output that is being produced by the homebuilder). Be sure to include some inputs that are not strictly labor (in other words, include things that are pieces of equipment or resources other than people). Give at least two examples of what a partial productivity statistic would be for some of the inputs that you identified. Give an example of something that would cause the partial productivity of a particular input to be reduced. Give an example of something that could be done to improve the partial productivity of some particular input. Describe how the overall productivity of the homebuilder would be calculated. In other words, how the total productivity of all inputs could be incorporated in a total productivity calculation.

Oral secretion products from chewing insects have been suggested as triggers that augment the release of plant volatiles.

Oral secretion products from chewing insects have been suggested as triggers that augment the release of plant volatiles. Beet armyworm caterpillars might trigger volatile emissions in corn plants through a fatty acid derivative (volicitin) in their oral secretions. Design an experiment to determine whether this chemical elicits a defense response from corn plants through release of plant volatiles.

In the graph in figure 2(a), there are actually three separate subgraphs, and none of these contain vertices which are able to reach vertices in any of the other two. For instance, none of a, b, c can reach any of d, e, f or g. However, in figure 2(b) The graph of a, b, c would be considered connected as a can access b, c. b can access a and c (through a) and c can access a, b (through a). Prepare python code for checking whether a given graph is connected or not. The function you write should accept an adjacency matrix as input.

can someone explain it to me

The Odyssey, Books I-V

Why does the book begin with the invocation of the Muse? Who/what is a muse? Why here?

Odysseus’s character is shown here: his recklessness. Why is this important?

What’s Telemachus’ problem? Why is he so unsure of his lineage?

Hm. What about the suitors? What would you do with them?

As Book II begins, Athena lavishes splendor on the prince. Why is that?

While we’re on Athena, she’s a shapeshifter. Why is that?

Lines 165-175, roughly, Zeus sends a sign: what do you make of it?

The last dozen lines of Book II are wonderfully visual. Comment, please.

Book III, line 112: tell me the truth. Why is that important?

Book III is bloody and mean. Why is that?

Helen of Troy — why does she call herself a shameless whore? (Book IV, line 162)

Talk about the Trojan Horse. Why is it so important? How does it fit in this book?

Book V: Calypso. Held by the nymph. She promises him endless youth, endless sex. So what’s the problem? (Serious question.)

Line 65-84: What do you make of this description? Think about it.

Line 245: Why does he pine all his days to go home? And why does he have sex after it?

My primary job at my church (workplace) is assimilation. It is my job to make positive and comfortable environment for guests to take their next steps at the church and ultimately God. However, I need to have a good first impression. People, on average, make a decision of whether they like a church or not in 7 minutes and the rest of their time in church is them justifying their decision. It is clear that a good first impression is important at the physical location of the church, but in reality, that is not the true first impression of the church and any organization. The first impression the vast majority of people have of any church or business is the website. I’ll be honest before I ever go to a location, I look at the website. Many times, if the website does not look professional, up to date, or is slow, I will turn away and not go to that business. I could spend an hour, sometimes hours searching through websites to find the perfect place. This is why at my church, we take our website seriously. Our assistant pastor spent what seemed like forever creating the website that we have today. It is a beautiful, up to date, modern, and professional website that is easy to navigate and is mobile friendly. Today, it is important to have a good website, especially one that is mobile friendly since everyone is always on their phones.

Use the aggregate expenditure (AE) model to describe the impact of a growing housing market and what OECD refers to as “solid economic growth” on equilibrium output.

In your answer make sure to discuss the equilibrating process of moving to a new macroeconomic equilibrium output.

A demand function is given by the equation Q = 114 – 3P.

Suppose the price is P = 20.

At this price, find the price elasticity of demand. USE THE POINT SLOPE METHOD to find this elasticity. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
