Data Collection

For the statistics project you are completing in this course, you will need to select a relevant topic that will allow you to gather both qualitative and quantitative data. You may gather data from a group of your choice using a data collection instrument (survey or data mining) that you design. Using the results of that collection instrument, you will create a data set, analyze the data, and create a professional report showing the results of the data that you collected.

For this assignment you will choose a topic and create a data collection instrument. When selecting a topic, remember you need to collect both quantitative and qualitative data. Data collection could be done in the form of a survey via a medium such as Survey Monkey or Facebook or through available workplace content such as sales orders. You will want to collect data from approximately 30 observations. This means you will want to survey at least 30 people or select data from 30 different sales orders.

Submit the topic of the study, a rationale (one or two paragraphs) outlining the purpose of the study, and the data collection instrument you created as a Word document. Include relevant survey links if the data is being collected digitally.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

You are not required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.

M2 Data Collection Assignment—Just submit statistics project proposal

M2 Data Collection Assignment—Just submit statistics project proposal.

For this Module/Week 2 assignment, you are to write JUST a Statistics Project Proposal in a Word Docx file. In the Proposal, include 1)the topic of the study, 2) rationale of the study, and 3) how you will collect at least three (3) quantitative and least three (3) qualitative data from at least 30 people you will interview or at least 30 individual data from an existing data/database. But if you will collect your data in Week3/Module by interview, just include the interview questions in the Proposal. That is your data collection instrument could be done in the form of a survey via a medium such as Survey Monkey or Facebook or through available workplace content such as sales orders. You will want to collect data from approximately 30 observations.

It is very important you 1) select a topic and 2) rationale of the study that you are passionate about. Cite and reference sources to support the topic and rationale of the study. (Optional: After the end of the class, if you want to published you work in reputable journals; I will finalize your paper and have it published for you after the class).

Include existing data or the relevant survey link if the data will be collected by interview digitally.

Note: It is very important that YOU ARE NOT TO IMPLEMENT YOUR PROPOSAL IN THIS MODULE/WEEK 2. You will implement the proposal in subsequent modules per each subsequent module’s assignment instructions

data collection

Evaluation for my EBP could be done through data collection. Data collection done through monitoring of rate of adherence to treatment by these patient population. Monitoring means “regularly collecting information on your project that will help you answer basic questions about your work”. (Evaluating your Project, 2015). Data collection on persistence with therapy will be one major way of evaluating my project effectiveness. Varying types of data would need to be collected to prove persistence to treatment such as,  (1) data on refill rate or medication possession rate (MPR), because as patients take their medications, they should be refilling their prescriptions. (2) data collection on increasing or decreasing reports of adverse reactions to medications for treatment. If reports of adverse reactions resulting from improper intake of these medication are on the decrease that means patients are receiving the proper education and counselling and are adhering to them (3) Patient satisfaction with treatment and monitoring trends in treatment outcomes such as decreasing rate of fracture and increase bone mineral density in patients taking these oral medications for treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, since these medications are found to be effective in reversing bone loss, maintain bone density and prevent fracture. (Osteoporosis Treatment Medications can Help, 2017).
