Traditional medicine has policed by medical boards in each state. They have been historically conservative when it comes to new techniques or new uses for old medical practices. How can the profession help to protect the consumer from inappropriate practitioners while still allowing new practices to flourish? As the Office Manager for a large physician practice, you are charged with leading the implementation of a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for the entire practice. You want to create a presentation that illustrates how health information exchange works and how it can be used to assist in the transition to the EHR.
